The Weeping Horse of Trowse

Created from the folklore legend of the mystery white horse that can be seen at dusk by the river running through the tiny village of Trowse, located south of Norwich. The legend states that a women trying to save her son drowned in the river, and afterwardsd a white horse could be seen weeping, however no one owned such a horse.

I loved making this sculpture and tried to capture the mood and atmosphere of the scene with the shape and tool marks on the head.
